CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
This web site is committed to protecting the rights and privacy of children as described in the CHILD PROTECTION ACT OF 1998 (COPA) and set forth in the principles contained in the CHILDREN'S ADVERTISING REVIEW UNIT (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus.
Consequently, we will observe the following guidelines, in using information received, determining content, and providing Internet access to other Web Sites:
No content described in the Act as obscene will be published;
No advertising will be published that is designed to exploit "unfairly the imaginative quality of children";
Any advertising directed at children will "communicate information in a truthful and accurate manner and in language understandable by children.
Personal information provided by schools identifying students such as addresses (other than the school address) will be protected and will not be provided to a third party.
Names of students submitted with their creative work will not be used to promote any commercial product or to contact the student for any reason. All communications regarding awards will be directed to school authorities. |
