CONSIDER THIS
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to witness it, does it make a sound?"
This might sound like a silly question, but there is a message here! If you think that you are doing something great and maybe, you ARE doing something great, but nobody knows about it, ARE YOU REALLY DOING SOMETHING GREAT?
Shakespeare defined greatness in the famous words of the Fool in King Lear: "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them".
No matter how you define greatness, it doesn't seem that greatness is possible except someone else recognizes that greatness.
Are you a student? a teacher? an administrator? Who are you? It doesn't really matter who your are if what you do doesn't get any recognition. Your success lies in getting others who are important in determining your destiny, to know what is your measure. |
